Market Beat...
The Cantor Fitzgerald Monthly Price Index moved up $26.35 to $139.17 in
February, an increase of 38.03% from March. The MPI falls outside of the
closing bid-offer spread ($146 by $150) due to the lagging variable of actual
trade prices from the period of March 25 through April 24. A bullish trading
atmosphere dominated the SO2 market during the month of April. Many participants
stepped up their buying activities in reaction to the EPA Auction results
on March 23rd. As prices continued their upward charge , few sellers took
advantage of profit taking opportunities. The trading range was $118.00
to $148.00.
